Socrates was born circa 470 BC and he was executed in 399 BC and between these period, actually not only between that time but also during hundreds of years, Athenians were living under the different social classes like Athens, Metics, Freedmen and Slaves and they were ruled by democracy. As a duty for his executed teacher, he wrote the speeches of Socrates while he was in trial to defend himself against the charges that had been claimed by Athenians who were affected by Meletus, Anytus and Lycon.
